After more than three decades of assiduous work, Ionel Alexandrescu perpetually rediscovers himself in his workshop, located in the heart of the beautiful City of Turin, both passionately devoted to his art and possessed with a rare talent for creating sensitive and moving forms that touch the heart of the viewer.
For the 30 years of his tumultuous career, as well as during his studies at the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts of Bucharest, where he graduated cum laude in 1983, Romania native Alexandrescu has consistently distinguished himself with an incredible talent and energy which he translates into evocative and compelling sculptural and restoration artworks.

His creations represent the search of the human being and his life made tangible
by using matter shaped with an infinite wisdom.
His experience evolved with a great commitment, a desire to transform the matter into a dynamic shape which reminds me of the futuristic artists. The Horses, the Female Body, large abstract creations, they all express a deep search of fantasy which is a feature of Brancusi’ sculpting style in the latest years.
